Its creamy ivory background and soft beige or gold movement pair easily with wood cabinetry, painted cabinets and warmer metal finishes. Cristallo, and the Stone of the Year distinction
Cristallo quartzite takes a more luminous direction, with crystalline depth and, in some slabs, translucency that can be explored for backlighting. The award detail is specific: the Natural Stone Institute named Crystallo Rare its 2025 Stone of the Year. Crystallo Rare is a particular variety from India; the award does not apply to every stone sold as Cristallo. Plan the slab, not just the color
A countertop photo is a starting point. For a real project, compare slab size and thickness with your kitchen dimensions, then discuss seams, overhangs, edge profile and the direction of the veins. Care and cost depend on the slab
Quartzite is durable, but porosity and finishes vary. A suitable impregnating sealer may improve stain resistance; it does not make stone stain-proof. Clean with a stone-safe neutral cleaner or mild soap and water, and ask for care advice for your selected slab. The Natural Stone Institute care guide recommends trivets, prompt spill cleanup and checking sealing needs with your supplier. Total project cost also depends on the material, number of slabs, edge details, fabrication and installation.
